Today the Marsabit County Public Service Board, in collaboration with the Department of Early Childhood Education, conducted an induction programme for the newly recruited ECDE teachers. The induction aimed to formally onboard the teachers and equip them with essential knowledge on their roles, responsibilities, and expectations within the ECDE sector.
During the session, the teachers were sensitized on public service values and principles, human resource policies and procedures, the ECDE curriculum framework, child protection standards, and ethical conduct. The programme also provided an opportunity to familiarize the teachers with the county’s education goals and the critical role of early childhood education in laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
The Board emphasized professionalism, accountability, and commitment to service delivery, while encouraging the teachers to uphold high standards of care, inclusivity, and learner-centered teaching in their respective institutions.
